Celtic Autumn
Autumn
The first of the bread and mead are given back to the land, the spirits of place and the season of growth being over, the frost kills back the plants. At this time, we feel a need to let go of unwanted things, to tie up loose ends and to withdraw. We share the experience of death with nature, releasing parts of ourselves into the spirit world. Through death, new life becomes possible. Our energy moves down into our roots as the hibernation instinct creeps in.
