Nations of the Celts
The Celtic nations are territories in North-West Europe. The languages and traits of the Celts have survived. Note that the term nations is used here to mean a group of prople who are associated with a territory, and who share a common language or culture. It is not meant to be used to express a "soverign state", but instead with traditional territories or "countries".
Six Recognised Territories
The six territories recognised as Celtic nations are Ireland (Éire), Brittany (Breizh), the Isle of Man (Mannin), Cornwall (Kernow), Scotland (Alba), and Wales (Cymru). This is however disputed by people from people from Asturias and Galacia (including Northern Portugal).
Until the Roman Republic and Germanic tribes expanded, a large part of the population of Western Europe were mainly Celts.
